with Worship Associate Peter Diachun.
On this first Sunday as we assemble again after the different pace
of summer, we will celebrate our water ceremony and dedicate our
Board.
Please bring a small amount of water from where you found
respite this summer.
September 12: “Somebody’s Story” – Mary Roseberry – English
Professor NCCC
“Sometimes the past comes looking for us. When I found myself
ensnared among strangers who lived now only in letters I couldn’t
let them be swept away again, because somewhere there are
grandchildren, nieces and nephews who want to know the people
they came from.” Come and share in this quest for memory.
September 19: “The Prophethood of All Believers” – Rev.
Theresa Kime
James Luther Adams, a Unitarian Universalist who taught for many
years at Harvard Divinity School described “the prophethood of all
believers”. Today we’ll consider what it might mean for us today in
terms of social concerns and vision.
After service conversation: UU’s in the Larger Community
September 26: “Nuggets of Brilliant Insight” – Rev. Don Reidell
Today’s sermon summarizes the enormous intellectual contribution
of a man who I believe is today to often been reviled.
